Volvo FH - Tommy's Kranbilar
This Volvo FH belongs to Tommy's Kranbilar from Helsingborg (S).

This is the 2nd crane truck at Tommy's with a Fassi 1500 crane, the first one is this Scania R420.

The crane has the same configuration as the one on the Scania, 8x extending with a 6x extending jib, giving 31,3 meters of outreach. Interesting is the difference with the installation. The Scania has got the more common front installation, and this Volvo has got the crane more to the rear, but not completely at the rear.

The crane is not folded down sideways but is put down in driving direction. The wheelbase of this truck is also longer that with the Scania.

Behind the cab there is a rack for ropes and other utilities.

At the rear they mounted some toolboxes. Here the subframe and outriggers are also all installed above the regular truckchassis. The outriggers are also twice the heavy 3x extending units.

The distance between the rear outriggers and the crane give the crane more stability.

An interesting truck, deviating from the regular way to install a Fassi 1500.
