Scania R420 - Poul Møller

I saw this Scania of Poul Møller from Ebberup (DK) in 2007 at a construction site in Roskilde. It is the first Fassi 1300 of Poul Møller and also one of the first 1300's that where delivered.

The tractor is an 8x4 without hub-reduction on the rear axles. The cab is the highline version, meaning it is semi-high. This side of the truck holds the dieseltank.

Directly behind the cab stands the Fassi F1300AXP.28. It extends 8x hydraulically to 19,65 meters where it can lift 3,68 tonnes. With the jib, an L426, the outreach becomes 31,55 meters with 880 kg of load.

This side of the truck holds 2 wooden boxes that store all the lifting equipment.

After a small repair the crane was ready for work again. Behind the Scania hangs a 2-axled steered semi-lowloader of Broshuis.

The trucks was driven slowly over the construction site with it's crane still up.

Once it got to the place where it had to lift, the support legs where extended again. The load, a platform that had to be mounted at the silo's, was hooked to the jib and lifted out of the hallway. As the crane would lift this load over the right-rear angle of the truck, it is not necessary to extend the front left outrigger further than he did here.

The crane starts extending. A platform like this is not really heavy off course, it more about the distance.

Nearly reached the location. The crane still has got some outreach left.

Holding it in position for the workers that mount it to the base frame. They used the lift that can be seen on the far left. The crane driver also stands at the left, using his remote control.

Here you can see how much outreach there is still left. The base crane uses 7 of his 8 extensions. The jib only uses 4 of the 6 available extensions.

This was the first Fassi 1300 of Poul Møller, another Fassi 1300 on a Volvo can be seen here.
