The vehicle shown here is a DAF 3600 in a 6x2 configuration. This tractor has been modified for the transport of draglines and foundation equipment. The usual way to transport this equipment in the Netherlands is with the boom of the machine being layed over the roof of the cabin. Therefore the cabin had to be lowered. In order to do this the cabin has been moved forward and is than lowered. A piece of the bottom of the cabin has been cut out to make room for the engine. Therefore the cabin now only has one bed left. |

On this picture, taken from the side, it is clearly visible that the cabin has gotten a new position. The engine is halfway covered by the cabin. The other half is protected by a cover. The maximum incline-angel is drastically reduced by the new position of the cab!! |

Here we have a good overview on the trailer and the load. The trailer is a rather old 3-axle lowloader build by Nooteboom. As load it has a Caterpillar 320B L with demolition-boom (straight boom). Because the machine has such a boom it has to be stretched out over the back of the trailer. Normally the boom and stick are "folded" together to reduce the transport length. |

Here we have another view of the truck, now from the other side. |
