Walser is also a dealer of Palfinger cranes, they had several interesting units on display. |
This is a MAN TGA 41.480 8x4 of the swiss copmany Cavigelli. |
It is equiped with a flatbed and a rear mounted crane. The whole chassis, so flatbed + frame + crane, is demountable and can be used in the other direction as well, meaning the crane is than mounted behind the cab. The outriggers are all mounted high in the frame of the flatbed, this means that they all change position when it is mounted in the other direction.
The crane is a Palfinger PK85002G that also has got a 4x extending jib. To have enough stability to the rear, when the crane is rear mounted like here, an extra set of 2 extending outriggers have been mounted. They tilt up when the frame is mounted in the other direction.

Another interesting truck with rear mounted crane is this Mercedes Actros 3355 of Heim Bohrtechnik. It was originaly a 6x6, but is is converted to an 8x6 by mounting a tag axle.
At the back of the chassis a Palfinger PK53002-SH was mounted, this one extends 8x hydraulicaly. |
Another Palfinger PK85002, this time mounted on a MAN TGA 44.480 10x6H (10x4 + Hydrodrive on the 2nd axle). The truck is owned by Negele from Triesen in Liechtenstien.
The crane is fix mounted. The crane also has got 6 outriggers, the rear set is not extendable but is mounted fix to the chassis.
