Open day - Walser Zizers 2011
The heaviest crane on this day was this PK150002 of Logbau from Zwitserland.
It is mounted on a heavy MAN TGS chassis, a 10x8 version. The base is an 8x8 that has gotten a tag axle at the workshop of Toni Maurer. A 5-axled chassis is allowed to weigh up to 40 tonnes total in Switzerlad, meaning that a truck like this can still cary some load.
Behind the crane they installed a large flatbed..

Here we see that the crane stands a little bit further form the cab then usual. This has been done so that the front outriggers can stand in an angle to each other. They are mounted on top of eachother to make this possible. This results in an V shaped set of outriggers that provide support to the sides and to the front of the truck.

From this side we have another good view on this outrigger construction.

The last interesting crane truck is this Actros 4448 8x6 of Vetsch from Klosters (CH).

It is a flatbed truck with a Palfinger PK74002-D crane and jib. A remarkbale thing about this crane is that it can tilt several degrees to the back and can also be operated in that position. At the left side of the crane we see the 2 sets of holes that define both positions. Below the crane we see a small cylinder that actualy tilts the crane. This installation was required for a specific work environment.

The chassis of this Mercedes is also reinforced to the front, an extra outrigger has been mounted to the front bumper. Meaning the crane can also be used to the front with a load.
