Appydro: Effer

At the Effer / Appydro stand this nice MAN TGS 35.540 8x2 was displayed. It is equiped with an Effer 1855L, so the long verion. This new crane is the follow up of the 1750L and can now also be deliverd as a 9S version, meaning the base crane extends 9x. This is a 9S version, a crane with an outreach of 26,48 metre where it will lift 2,93 tonnes. With the long 6S jib the total outreach is 43,05 meters where it will still lift 285 kg. With the 2 optional manual extensions it can reach up to 47 meters. The long version is folded down in driving direction as can be seen on the photo from the infoboot. The crane was delivered by Effer as 1 package including the subframe and outriggers that extend to the rear. The regular rear outriggers are a set of Maxistab. The crane is deliverd to the Paris based company TLMS.

The 2nd Effer was standing at the demo area, it is this 955 on a MAN TGS 8x2 of Cauvas. It is an 8S crane with a 6S jib, good for an outreach of 33,55 meters. The mounted crane has got the Crossstab outriggers, the ones that extend sideways to the front for all around stability. At the drivers side we see the swivveling leg, the other side has got the leg that is mounted in a fixed position.

Risa

The company Risa showed this combination. The base is a MAN TGS 33.400 6x6 with single offroad tyres. Risa mounted a 2-way tipper and a Risa crane, model 80 TA 30. This crane is specially made for heavy excavator work or as displayed here, for use with a hole drilling head. These kind of trucks are mainly used by the power line companies that build an maintain their network with it. Behind the cab we see a rack that can carry long poles over the cab. The machine is stabilized with 4 solid outriggers.

Faymonville

Faymonville showed this 6-axled Powermax, a self propelled platform with a 240 kW (326 Hp) powerpack. It has a technical axle load of 36 tonnes at 1 km/h, so crawling speed. At higher speeds like 5 or 10 km/h the load sinks to 34 or 28 tonnes. These modules can be used in 2 modes: as a pulled platform with speeds up to 80 km/h without the assistance of the powerpack, as a pulled platform up to 13 km/h with the assistance of the powerpack or as self propelled platform with a max. of 7 or 13 km/h. The assistance mode is meant for transports that maybe have a few inclines in their route that require a 2nd truck, this job could be take over by the powerpack. It is placed on top of a 3-axled Multimax trailer.

Beside it stood this 4-axled ballasttrailer that is called Cargomax at Faymonville. This 4-axled unit can, depending on the axle loads (9,5 or 12 tonnes), carry a load of 51 or 62 tonnes.
