At the stand of Stiholt, a network of Scania and Palfinger dealers, stood this nice Scania R420 8x4. The truck is sold to I.K. Transport from Nørresundby.
A Palfinger PK85002 F is mounted on the truck, a crane that extend 7x hydraulically to a length of 20,2 meters. The lifting capacity is 72,9 ton/mtr. The PJ170E jib enlarges the outreach to 30,6 meters. |
The truck has a loading floor that has been adapted for the transport of boats. When everything is folded down, a flat floor is available on which normal goods can be transported. When the supports are set up and the floor is extended, a boat can be loaded onto it. |
The opening for the keel of the boat can be seen good here. |
The jibs of Palfinger nowadays have 2 lifting tables, the name for this is DPS (Dual Power System). Which lifting table is active is determined by the main boom. When the last extension (to which the jib is mounted) has not extended jet, the heavy table is active. |
At the outside area Stiholt also had some trucks on display, for example this black Scania R420 8x2 for Nuuk Transport ApS from the town Nuuk at Greenland. It is also equiped with a PK85002, but this is the H model that extends hydraulically to 22,4 meters. There it still lifts 2,42 tons. |
