To the side of Hal M stood one of the nicest crane-trucks of the exhibition. It is the new Volvo FM 8x4 tractor with Effer 850 crane of VST. The truck stood at the stand of KL-Kranservice, an independent crane mounting company. Although he builds up each brand, his speciality are the cranes from Effer. The new Effer 2750 of VST will also be modified/mounted by this company.

A speciality of KL is the mounting of front outriggers. The tractor is therefore equiped with a very robust chassis that runs all the way from the crane to the outriggers. This chassis makes it possible to use the full lifting capacity of the crane also in front of the truck. |
At the rear side we recognize the completely new built tower behind the cab. It contains the oil- and dieseltank. Also the Ad-Blue tank has been built new so that it would fit into the new tight location. This leaves the room between the axles free so that large toolboxes can be mounted there. |
An Effer 850 8S has been mounted on this Volvo, a crane that extends 8x hydraulically to a length of 20,7 meters. The lifting capacity of this model is 67 ton/mtr. The 6x extending jib gives a total outreach of 34,2 meter. |
At the rear of the chassis a mounting for an extra axle can be seen. With this axle it becomes a 5-axled tractor that can have a heigher totalweight (with permission). This a normal procedure in the nordic countries to increase the useability of a heavy transport tractor. |
The winch is visible underneath the crane. This crane has the wind & drive system, which means the user can let the winch-cable and the rolls at their place when the crane is folded together. This way the winch is directly available after the crane has been folded out into working position. |
