On the stand of Titan Spezialfahrzeuge this huge oilfiedltruck could be seen. It is a Titan Z 80-609 F 6x6, what means that is has a total weight of 80 ton and is driven by a 609 hp Mercedes V8 engine. Behind the engine hangs a ZF WSK and a Mercedes gearbox, the cab is from an Actros. |

On the joint stand of Scheuerle, Kamag and Nicolas (TII group) stood this impressive Nicolas Tractomas tractor. It has 8x8 drive, is driven by a Caterpillar C27 engine with 875 hp and is meant for the heaviest transports. The cab originates from a Renault Premium/Kerax and has gotten right hand drive. A similar unit has recently been delivered to Australia for use on a mining roadtrain with tippers. I would guess that this unit will get a similar task, also regarding the big hydraulic connectors. |

Also interesting is this windmill-wing adapter that can tilt and rotate. It is mounted on a InterCombi SPMT and is used to deliver wings at very narrow places.

This is the new SPMT Light, a self driven platform for light jobs on short distances. The own weight of only 10 tons allows for a load of 86 tons. Each axle-line carries 48 tons. It' driven by a Deutz engine.

Offcourse Volvo showed their new FH model, the 4th version of this line. Here we see the heavy haulage tractor, the FH16-750 in 8x4 version. The conversion is done by the german dealer Popp.

For heavy mine usage Volvo showed this new Volvo FMX 540 10x4, the facelifted version of the FMX. It has 3 heavy rear axles of which the last one has got the heavy body, but no drive. Therefore it has steering and is liftable. The tipper of SLP can carry loads up to 44 tons.

At the other side of the fair, at the stand of BAS Trucks, these 2 Volvo FMX units where displayed. The first unit is this FMX Pusher, a name it got because of it's pushing loading body. The load isn't tipped, but gets pushed out by a moving front board. The dump body was built by AJK and can haul up to 55 tons of load, the total weight of the truck being 77 tons. The 3rd axle is delivered by Estepe and has a load of 13 tons. The FMX is equiped with a 460 hp engine that is connected to a Volvo Powertronic fully automatic gearbox with torque converter.

Practically the same truck, now with 440 hp, is this Volvo FMX 10x4 with AJK tipper body. This tipper also has a loading capacity of 55 tons (30 m3). The tilting cylinders work in both ways, so the tipper gets down very quickly.
