Bauma 2013 - 4

Goldhofer also showed a windmill wing adapter that can be mounted on a SPMT.

Futhermore they showed this STZ-P 10 A, a 2+8 axled lowloader that can extend after the 2nd axle. It is pulled by the Mercedes Actros Titan 4165 8x4 of Bender.

Scania also gets more active in the mining business and showed their version of a mining truck. This R500 10x4*6 has got a KH-Kipper that fits 46 tons of load. The tag axle is a steered version of BPW that is equiped with dual tyres. The V8 engine is connected to the Opticruise gearbox.

Inside stood this Scania R730 heavy haulage tractor in 8x4 version. The 730 hp V8 is connected to the Opticruise gearbox, depending on the axle layout a total of 250 ton is possible (180 ton is standard). It is shown in the new Streamline version, that has a lower air-resistance by a different sun visor and changed wind deflectors.

The Tatra stand showed this nice surprise. It is Tatra's version of a heavy mining truck. This Tatra T815-7 chassis is allowed for 50 ton totalweight and has a loading capacity of 35,3 tons. All 4 axles are driven, the 1st and the last are steered which makes the truck very manouevrable. The pusher body of Fliegl allows for low height which makes the truck suitable for underground mining applications. It's driven by a Tatra engine, a air-cooled V8 with 12,7 liter capacity and 440 hp. It's connected to a fully automatic Allison gearbox with torque converter. The Tatra specific axle-construction with the center tube is the reason why Tatra wheels will almost never lose ground contact.

Beside their dumper they also showed their more regular series, the Phoenix. This is an 8x8 version with a Meiller tipper. It's driven by a Paccar MX engine of 460 hp (DAF engine) and the cab is also delivered by DAF. These trucks can also be configured to have a total weight of 50 tons as 8x8.

On the open area this Tatra Terno 8x8 was displayed, built up as a tanker for mining equipment. The tank body was installed by the Czech company Kobit.

At Fiat Industrial there was Iveco and Case New Holland, but also Astra. Here they had the world premiere of the new HHD9 series. This serie combines the robust Astra chassis with the known cab of the Iveco Trakker series. The HD9 was already in series, but the HHD9 is the extra heavy version of this truck, up to now only availble as HHD8. The truck shown here is the HHD9 86.48, an 8x6 with a performance of 480 hp (Iveco Cursor 13 engine) and a total weight of 60 tons (at 70 km/h). The engine is connected to a fully automatic Allison gearbox, the tipper body that they have chosen is supplied by Cantoni & C.
