Volvo FM480 - Johannesen
I could photograph this Volvo FM480 of Johannesen Kran- & Maskintransport in 2009 at their yard in Hvidovre, they had put it out on the road for better pictures.

It's a Volvo FM with the Globetrotter cab and 8x2 drive. As this truck is used mainly in the Copenhagen city, only 1 driven axle is sufficient.

Behind the cab stands an Effer 1750 in the long version. This folds, as can be seen here, down in the driving direction and therefore takes up the whole flatbed. No load can be carried, except if it would pull a trailer.

As the space at the chassis is used up by toolboxes, the dieseltank had to move here. To fit with the crane, it had to have this shape.

The 1750L stand, as most of these cranes, at a subframe with 2 regular set of outriggers and an extra set of outriggers that extend to the rear. They can be seen at the rear and are attached to 1 extending subframe.

The loading box holds the support mats, some chains and the manual extensions. This crane has a 8x extending base boom that reaches out 24 meters. The long version of the 6x extending jib gives it a total outreach of 41 meters. The 2 manual extenions complete the crane and give it 4 meters more, with 45 meters total.

This side also holds a toolbox. The other space is take by the mufler and the Ad-Blue tank. In front of the crane stands the oiltank and the oilcoolers.

A very neat crane truck in the large fleet of Johannesen.
