The company Dansk Specialtransport (also known as Rørby Johansen a/s) is especialy known for it’s heavy transport division. Beside that activaty they also operate a number of crane-trucks in Denmark.

This is one of them, a Volvo FM12-460 8x4 tractor.

The tractor is equiped with a Palfinger PK100002, the F version. At the front of the trailer, on the goose-neck, lies the PJ170E jib.

The crane has a lifting capacity of 83 ton/mtr and an outreach of 17,3 meters. With jib the outreach becomes 30,2 meters.

The Volvo is used with a extendable and steering 2-axled Goldhofer semi-lowloader.

The tractor has an empty weight of 26 tonnes. It has 2 permits, one for 32 and one for 41 tonnes vehicle weight.

This crane is equiped with 6 support legs. Beside the normal 2 outriggers at the crane itself and the heavy outriggers at the rear of the chassis it also has 2 legs at the front. The chassis between the crane and these front-legs has been completely reinforced to be able to use the full lifting capacity of the crane in that area.

This is the second FM12-460 8x4 tractor in the fleet of Dansk. This tractor is also equiped with 6 outiggers and is also stable in all directions.

From the outside it looks exactly the same, but it differs a bit in details. Here they mounted a PK100002 G, a crane with a lifting capacity of 82 ton/mtr and an outreach of 19,6 meters. This one is combined with the lighter PJ125E jib. This gives a larger outreach of 32,5 meters but lifts less than the other jib. Here the crane is pictured without a jib but with 2 manual extensions and some sheeves for the winch.

A loading box is placed on the fifth wheel.
