Volvo FH480 - Kenneth Egeland
In 2007 this Volvo FH480 was added to the fleet of Kenneth Egeland Transport from Sola (near Stavanger - N).

It is a 8x2*6 tractor, meaning it has 2 steering front axles and a steering tag axle.

Behind the cab stands a Fassi F1100AXP.28, a crane with a lifting capacity of 85,8 ton/mtr. The 8x extending boom reaches up to 19,65 meter where it still lifts 3,32 tonnes.

Here the crane was demonstrated on the yard, the legs are already extended.

A L426 jib is mounted on the crane, a 6x extending version that gives a total outreach of 31,85 meters. The crane also has a winch.

The steering tag axle gives the truck a small turning circle, despite the longer wheelbase that is necessary with such a crane. The fifth wheel can slide to fit different trailers.

A 5th support leg is mounted to the front. A reinforced chassis is not availble, it has been mounted to the standard chassis extension that is delivered by Volvo.

The crane is being unfolded...
...and reaches full height here.

Thanks to the driver for this demonstration!
