The company K. Buhl from Vester Nebel (near Egtved - DK) took this new Volvo FM12-420 8x4 tractor into service.

There is a Palfinger PK 130000 G mounted behind the Globetrotter cab. This crane equals a PK 120000. It has gotten the other name because it is equiped with the heavy PJ 170 jib. (the PK 120000 normally is equiped with the PJ 154).

Here we clearly see how much space this 95 ton/mtr crane needs, a little more than the cab’s length.

A better view on the crane. A winch has been mounted to the crane. Between the crane and the cab is a tank for the oil and diesel. Also we find a heavy oilcooler there. The front outriggers can flip up.

Here we see the jib. This one extends 6x hydraulically and also has 1 manual extension. It extend the cranes length with about 14 meters.

This crane extends 8x hydraulically to a length of 18,8 meters. There it can still lift 4,25 tonnes. Close to the crane it can handle loads of up to 25 tonnes.

The crane has been mounted by Hadsten Tipservice from Hadsten (DK). The entire truck has been built up very nice, everything has been filled by steel plate or toolboxes. Behind the crane we see a steel plate with all the important connections like air, current, ABS and hydraulic.

This Volvo is of course being used for all possible lifting- and transportation jobs, but one of it’s main activities is the lifting and transport of boats.

To left in the background we see a equal Volvo, only then equiped with a Palfinger PK 90002.

In total there are 5 outriggers. 2 at the back of the chassis, 2 at the crane and 1 at the front bumper. This single outrigger provides a good load table when they are lifting over the cab.
