It was used here to place steel plates in the ground, also called sheet piling. These plates are lifted into the piling machine with the Effer crane.

The crane is an Effer 1250 in 8S version that reaches up to 20 meter with 3,63 ton capacity. Together with the 6S jib it has a maximum outreach of a little over 33 meter.

The chassis is a Volvo FM480, meaning it has the 480 hp strong 6-cylinder engine. The chassis is an 8x4 tractor, that is equiped here with a demountable flatbed. A high toolbox has been placed beside the crane.

The steel plate is lifted into a machine that stands inside the ditch. This machine grabs the plate, let's the plate vibrate and then pushes it into the ground.

Here we get a good picture of it. The Effer was mounted by KL-Kranservice. Here is has gotten a completely reinforced chassis to the front. The front outrigger gives good stability, so that the crane can use it's full potential to the front asswell.

A view from the other side. The rear outriggers are mounted high, this gives more clearance and also gives room for the drawbar coupling. The battery compartment is mounted between the axles, the oil- and dieseltank are mounted beside the crane (on top of the outriggers).
