This Scania T143E-500 is owned by the company Van Wijgerden from Molenaarsgraaf. This not a large firma that has a fleet with Scania’s and Volvo’s. This Scania was their first 4-axled tractor. It was custom-build for them. It is coupled to a 4-axled Nooteboom lowloader. |

The color-scheme of this truck is really nice, completed by some airbrush paintings on the nose. Despite it’s age (built in 1994) this truck looks like new. On the driversside they have mounted a raised exhaust. |
On the other side we see some necessary storage cases behind the cab. Between the cases and the cab we see a protection-strut. On the case behind the cab we see the nickname of this truck “’t Beest” (The Beast). |
The truck came to collect a Caterpillar D6R LGP of Boskalis. This is a bulldozer weighing about 21 tonnes. The name LGP says that it is a Low Ground Pressure unit. This means that it has wider tracks to reduce the ground pressure. |
This time the machine is tranported with the blade still mounted. If the blade is demounted or not depends mostly on the width of the blade. |
All ready to go to the customer. Here you can clearly see how wide the tracks are. |
