In 2006 this Scania R420 was added to the fleet of Leitner Transporte from Oberperfuss (A).

The tractor is equiped with a loading box here, but is also used regulary with a 2-axled semi-lowloader.

The tractor is equiped with a Palfinger PK72002 E, this means 6 hydraulic extensions. The outreach is 15,8 meter, the lifting capacity almost 3,5 tonnes. The outreach is increased by the jib, a PJ170 E, that extends another 6x to 28,6 meters. With the manual extensions a total outreach of 32/33 meter and a height of 35 meter is reached.

This tractos is not a standard Scania product, but is built by the Scania doughter Laxa. The base vehicle is a 8x8 chassis, a detailed description can be found here. This is the first one as a R-Series.

Because there are no parts of use from the rear-axle suspension of a 8x8 for only one axle, it has been equiped with air suspension on that axle now.

The crane is equiped with 6 outriggers. To have enough lifting capacity to the front, the chassis between the crane and the front bumper has been reinforced.
