Scania P450 - Jülch GmbH
This nice Scania with Cormach belongs to Jülch GmbH from Steinweiler (D).
It's a Scania P450 in 10x4*6 version, so with a steering rear axle.
One of the biggest knucklebooms of germany is installed behind the cab, a Cormach 240000AX. The predecessor was a 230000, also on a Scania P 10x4.
First of all we see the heavy front outriggers, arranged in a X-shape. They stand on top of eachother and cross eachother, offering stability all around.
After that comes the turntable in a sturdy frame to which all the outriggers are mounted.
The base crane is an E9, so 9x extending to 23 meters with 6,12 ton capacity. Maximum capacity is 30 ton at 5,6 meters.
A long jib is installed to the crane, it fits between the 2 rear outriggers. With that it can reach up to 45 meter far with 1,05 tons capacity. Maximum capacity at the jib is 7,36 ton up to an height of about 29 meters.
During the parking you could see the steering rear axle, which keeps this long truck quit manoeuvrable. This crane does a lot of maintenance work in a refinery at Karlsruhe.
The rear outriggers swivvel out and extend once. This side of the truck holds some storage compartments.
The oiltank is mounted above the X-shaped outriggers. To reduce the height, it was specially shaped to fit within the outrigggers.
A very nice crane truck for some really heavy work!
