The company Ets. Loos from Seyssuel (F - near Lyon) is the owner of this Scania R144G-460 with a heavy Fassi crane.
The Scania is a 6x2 with a liftable rear-axle. Remarkable is the rear mounted crane. When there is a lack of traction, the rear axle can be lifted. The crane will then put enough pressure on the driven axle for more traction. |
Behind the cab there is a small canvas cover under wich the lifting material is stored. |
The crane is a Fassi F1000AXP.24, meaning it extends 4x hydraulically. A 4x hydraulically extending jib is also available which gives a total outreach of 25,75 meters. The crane was mounted by Miltra.
In order to have the full capacity available in all directions they have mounted a set of swivveling outriggers. These can also swivvel to the rear to provide the necessary stability there. These outriggers extend 1x hydraulically. |
The crane is being used for complex lifting jobs, for example at locations that are hard to reach. The own weight of the truck is about 25 tonnes. |
Here a view on the other side of the crane which is equiped with a heavy winch. The crane is being folded in the driving direction, folding it sideways is not possible because of the swivveling outriggers. |
With a allowed total weight of 67 tonnes it can also carry a heavy load with a lowloader. |
