This 5-axled tractor was added to the fleet of P. Derks B.V. from Bemmel (NL) in 2004.

The base vehicle was a Scania P124G-420 8x4 tractor.

Veenhuis voertuigtechniek then mounted a friction steered and liftable 5th axle in the middle of the chassis.

All the chassiscomponents that had no space between the wheels anymore where moved to a rack behind the cab. Here we find the air barrels and the dieseltank.

The steel strut has to prevent damage to the roof when stuff is loaded over the roof. The roof is also modified for this kind of loads, it is cut of at the rear side.

At this side a large toolbox was placed. The fifth wheel is placed on a slideable frame, this way also trailers with a shorter goose neck than the one on this 4-axled Nooteboom can be used.

The colour scheme is nice and a interesting deviation from the orange coloured V.d Vlist 5-axled trucks in Holland :)
