Early 2007 this Scania R580 was added to the fleet of Brouwer Speciaaltransport from Nieuwegein (NL).
It is an 8x4 tractor with the 16 liter V8-engine that delivers 580 hp. They have chosen the Topline cab. |
This tractor is converted by Laxa and got equiped with a ZF WSK 440 which is combined with a ZF manual Ecosplit gearbox.
The tractor has gotten the very nice livery of Brouwer. |
Behind the tower are 2 good looking and shiny stainles steel exhausts. The grid at the side of the tower is a new feature on the Scania towers. At the bottom of the tower is the big dieseltank, at the top there are some air barrels and a toolbox. |
The tractor is coupled to a Scheuerle-Nooteboom moduletrailer in 3-bed-5 configuration (actually 3-bed-2+3) |
These modules can be combined freely, so for example a 2-bed-3 or a 8-axled platformtrailer can also be put together. |
At the goose neck there is a diesel powered aggregate that provides oil for the trailer hydraulics. |
At the left top of the tower there is an extra radiator for the engine. There is a heat-exchanger at the bottom of the tower that transfers the heat of the WSK into the cooling system of the engine. |
Again a very nice combination of Brouwer Speciaaltransport form Nieuwegein. |
