Scania R500 - Blaauw
In 2007, as this Scania R500 8x4 was still rather new, I could make these pictures. The truck is owned by the company Blaauw from Werkendam (NL).

A Fassi 1100 is mounted behind the Highline cab of the Scania, a 1100AXP.28 to be precise. It extends 8x hydraulically to 19,65 meters where it can lift 3,32 tonnes. More outreach is provided by the 6x extending jib, which isn't mounted here.

The bodywork on the truck looks really good, all parts have the same color scheme. Even the crane was painted in 2 colors to match the truck. The space between the axles was filled with storage boxes and a dieseltank. The raised exhaust is mounted at this side, it saves the need for a mufler at this side of the chassis.

The end of the chassis holds a drawbar coupling, with this the tractor can also pull a drawbar trailer. The fifth wheel can slide, so that it matches different kind of trailers. As can be seen on the mud flaps, this unit was installed by Elcar.

This side of the truck has got the same nice finish, all free space was used for storage compartments.

After the pictures where taken, the truck was parked on the yard again. Thanks for your help!
