This is a Mercedes 4148 of Wipptrans/Huter Recycling from Steinach am Brenner (A).

It is an 8x8 tractor that has a demountable loading box on it’s fifth wheel here. Remarkable is the spacious mounting of the crane, probable to not overload the front axles.

Behind the cab stands a Palfinger PK120000G with a PJ154C jib. The base crane extends 8x hydraulically to 19,1 meters and can lift 4,25 tonnes there. The jib extends 4x hydraulically and gives an outreach of almost 28 meters.

With 3 manual extensions in the jib the total outreach becomes 33 meters where it can lift 650 kg.

The ruggid driveline is necessary for the use at building sites and in the mountains.

Front outriggers have been mounted. The chassis has also been strengthened somewhat in this area.
A nice and strong truck for heavy work !!
