On the 8th of may Bautrans from Lauterach (A) got their new MAN TGA 41.660. That day it stood at the open day of the local MAN dealer in Lustenau.
Thet tractor is the heaviest MAN available with the 660 hp 18 liter V10 engine. The gearbox is a MAN - Tipmatic (ZF AS-Tronic) with 12 gears that is coupled to a ZF WSK 440 torque converter.
Behind the cab we find the standard tower with the large cooler, air barrels and a 970 liter dieseltank.
At the back of the chassis there is a heavy drawbar trailer coupling, a detailpicture is at the bottom of this page.
One difference with other 41.660’s is this other/new step.
The blue license plate is only a temporary garage unit. The eventual plate will be B TL 40 (truck number).
Here a picture to see how it looks now. Changes are: no wheelcovers anymore, bullbar, lightsrack, red heavy transport bumper, red sideskirts, sparetire in the middle behind the tower and the text “Jogi” on the warning lights on the roof.
