MAN TGS 41.510 - Auto Graber
Last year this nice MAN TGS was added to the fleet of Auto Graber from Steinach am Brenner (A).
The chassis is an MAN TGS 41.510. Even though it looks like an 8x8, it is really an 8x6 version. The 1st axle has got the heavy axle body, but it is not driven.
Behind the cab stands a Palfinger PK92002F. This 7x extending crane reaches up to 17,8 meters with 3,75 tons capacity. Maximum weight it can lift is 26 tons beside the truck.
The truck has got a flatbed mounted here in which some lifting equipment is carried. It can be taken of, so that the truck runs as a tractor unit.
The rear of the chassis holds a coupling for use with drawbar trailers. Some toolboxes are mounted on top of the outriggers for chains etc. They extend with the outriggers.
With the PJ170E jib, this crane can reach up to 30,4 meter with 1100 kg. With acitve DPS this jib can lift up to 6,5 tons.
A very nice truck.
I don't have enough pictures for a seperate report, so I just patch it in here. This is the predecessor of the MAN truck, an Actros 6x6 that is still in use.
It is equiped with a Palfinger PK66000 at the rear of the chassis. An extra set of outriggers that extend to the rear gives it stability in that direction. A nice compact truck, perfect of use on the small mountain roads of this region.
