This DAF 85 CF 380 8x4 belongs to the company Kalundborg Kran from Kalundborg (DK). |
The largest Effer crane, a 2200, is mounted on this truck. A crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 160 ton/mtr. |
The jib, a 6S (extends 6x), is being transported on this middle axle drawbar trailer. The jib has it’s own winch. |
Here the crane is being set up on the yard of farmer where it had to lift a tank. At the back of the crane boom we see the other winch. |
The crane is an Effer 2200 6S. This means that it extends 6x and reaches a maximum length of 22 meter. At this distance it still lifts 6,3 tonnes. This one also has a manual boom-part which enlarges the outreach to 24,5 meter. At that distance the crane lifts 5 tonnes. |
In combination with the jib, the outreach increases to an impressive 45 meter! At that distance a load of 700 kg can still be lifted. |
Here we have a good view on the struts. It has a total of 6 struts, 2 at the front at the slewing ring, 2 at the back of the chassis and an additional 2 that extend to the rear. The leg of the front strut at this side can slide, so that it fits between the 2 front axles during road transport. |
Here it lifts a tank of a few tonnes weight, an object that definately cannot show the full potential of this crane. |
It is, as far as I know of, the only Effer 2200 that is in use in Danmark. |
After the job the crane is folded together again. This crane is to long to be folded behind the cab. It is also so heavy that you can’t take any load with you anymore. |
