Transport CH 2015 - 7
On this last page I will show several 5-axled trucks that where shown on this exhibition.

The 5-axled Trakker Hi-Land of Iveco, it has got 450 hp. Remarkable is the position of the mufler. This high position is necessary for this version with 3 steering axles.

MAN showed both version of the 5-axled TGS. One version has got 3 steering axles and is mostly used for tippers, the other one has got the tag axle.

At the stand of Moser this MAN TGS 50.480 10x4*6 could be seen. It is equiped with a Moser hooklift that is installed on a demountable subframe. The exhaust system of MAN now has got this version for construction trucks. This 2-part setup allows for short wheelbased 5-axled trucks again.

A Mercedes Arocs 4451 10x4*6 with a Fliegl push off body.

Identical chassis, only now with a sleeper cab and a Schwarmüller tipper.

And another Arocs 10x4*6, here at the Liebherr stand with a 41XXT concrete pump (41 meter outreach).

And the fourth 4451 on this fair, now at the stand of Trösch with a push off body. Here you see why most of these trucks are ordered with a tag axle. The rather large mufler of the Actros/Arocs series is not availble as a 2-part system and therefore has to be mounted between the axles. With 3 front axles the turning radius becomes large.

Renault had this C520 10x4 on display at their stand. This one is available with 3 front axles as the mufler fits nicely between the axles, with the 2nd part above it. This was already availble from the start of the C-series.

At the stand of Swiss-Kipper there was another C520 10x4, now with a Langendorf tipper.

Liebherr had another stand outside. There this Renault C520 10x4 could be seen with a HTM 1004 LTB installed on it. This is combination of a 10 m3 mixer and a conveyor belt of about 16 meter.

A very nice 5-axled Scania stood outside. This R730 10x4*6 of R. Huber Transporte is equiped with a Rohr tank body for the transport of fuel.

This Scania G450 10x4*6 also stood outside, it has got a Moser Tribox SL tipper.

At the stand of Sturzenegger this Scania of Martin Wittwer was on display. It is a R730 10x4*6 that normally is used as a tractor for heay transports. But beside that they can also use it as a flatbed truck, therefore Sturzenegger made this demountable platform.

Another G450 10x4*6, now with a Trösch tipper body.

At the Volvo stand they showed a new FMX540 10x4*6 without a body.

At the stand of Moser stood this very nice Volvo FH of F. Stöckli. It has got 3 front axles and has got a nice compact design. All the loose parts where mounted into a nice rack behind the cab. The body is a tipper from Moser, the Rockbox R version.

At the stand of Sobad stood this Volvo FMX 10x4 of Schädler with a hookloader.

Outside stood this interesting Volvo FM 10x4*6 with a Fassi F365 crane and a UT hookloader. Judging by the shape of the attachment on the crane, I guess that it will be emptying trash- and glascontainers.
