Beside the PK165002 stood this Scania R490 10x4*6 of H.P. Gerber from Pratteln. It is equiped with the largest available Palfinger crane, the PK200002.
This is already the 5th crane of this type in Switzerland. The bodywork is mostly identical on all these cranes, as most of them are installed in the Palfinger factory.
The crane extends 8x and reaches 25,4 meters where it will lift 3,85 tonnes. The PJ300L jib in F-version gives a total outreach of just over 45 meters with 500 kg of capacity.
As said, most of these units look identical, so this one also has 6 outriggers for the crane.
The oiltank with the coolers is installed in the front. |
The rest of the flatbed is used for the storage of outrigger wood, extra parts for the boom and a large hook.
The regular subframe of this crane has got a rear outrigger that lies in the subframe during transport. It extends to outwards and then tilts down when used. On top of the box lies the worksmen basket.
The have chosen the R chassis here with the planetary drives, interesting as it is the better choice for heavy work but also has a bit more own weight.
From the parking lot I could photograph the whole crane, this wasn't possible at the fair ground.
I filmed the demonstration and put some of the images together in this film. |
