Visit Skaks 3 - Erkin tracked cranes
Beside the crane trucks, Skaks also operates 2 tracked Erkin cranes.
This is an ER11500 PL-8 tracked crane. On this corner they installed the control panel with display.
Interesting feature of this crane is, that the subframe with crane is mounted onto a seperate slewing ring and can rotate independently of the chassis with the tracks. The crane itself of course also has a slewing ring to rotate on the subframe.
The crane extends 8x to 22,9 meters with 2,25 ton capacity. The 4x extending jib gives a total outreach of 33,15 meter with 400 kg.
Total ballast here is 2375 kg. This side of the subframe holds extra outriggers that can tilt this way, and offer stability to the rear. As the slewing ring of the crane is on this side of the subframe, some extra support is needed in this direction.
On the subframe stands the powerpack that powers the crane and the tracks.
Here we see the oil cooler and some support plates.
The manual extension was fitted with a harvester head, used for cutting down trees. This side holds the chain saw.
This side has got the clamep and a tilting mechanism. With the tracked carrier it is easy to do such works in difficult places.
The 2nd tracked crane on the yard was this Erkin ER-75000 PL-6.
It extends 6x to 13,3 meters with 4 tons when it lifts over the rear. The capacity over the sides is a bit lower.
An interesting construction on the telescopic boom. The base part is shorter than the telescopic parts, therefore these parts can slide further back when the crane folds down. This way the boom length is short enough to stay within the size of the carrier. The 4x extending jib can lift 610kg at 24,1 meter over the rear, or 270 kg at 28 meters with the 2 manual extensions.
Unlike the other tracked crane, this model has got the subframe directly mounted to the track carrier.
A nice compact machine.
