Effer had 2 new CroSStab cranes on display. This is the largest, the new Effer 2455 with 4 swiveling outriggers. The turntable of this crane is mounted in a rectangular subframe to which all the the outriggers are mounted, one on each corner. With fully extended outriggers the crane has 100% stability in all directions. It is mounted on a MAN TGS 41.440 8x4 and is sold to Piccini. The 2455 is based on the 2200, but was changed on many points. It now has 7 hydraulic extendions at the base crane which give it 27,45 meter outreach with 4,245 ton capacity. The 6x extending jib gives an outreach of 50,1 meter with a capacity of 170 kg. A manual extension can provide a total outreach of 53,5 meter. When the base crane is at full height and the jib is horizontal, it can ligt 865 kg at 31,2 meter distance at a height of almost 32 meters. Beside this outrigger version all the known versions of the 2200 are also available for the 2455.

The 2nd CroSStab crane on display was the 955, mounted on a DAF CF85.410 8x4. After the 1355 this is the second "normal" knuckleboom that is available with this outrigger-concept. The right side has got a fixed outrigger that extends sideways and to front. The left side has got the swiveling outrigger. This concept doesn't cost any aditional installation space and also the height of the crane (also with jib) is the same as usual. This outrigger concept offers full stability to the front without the need ot reinforce the chassis in that area. This is the 8S version, it reaches 20,58 far where it can lift 2,82 tons. With the 6S jib that gets 33,55 meter with 720 kg. 2 manual extensions give a total outreach of 37,76 meter.
Both cranes are equiped with the Progress system. This system guards the stability of the crane in all possible outrigger variants. It knowes how far the outrigger is extended and in which positon the swiveling leg(s) is/are.

| EuroGru Amici showed 2 cranes of the type 150.35, the red Iveco Trakker 8x4 goes to Italnol, the blue/white MAN TGS 8x4 goes to Iannario. These are cranes with a maximum capacity of 150 tons at a distance of 2,5 meter. The boomlength is 31,8 meter which gives a hookheight of nearly 35 meter. Both cranes are also equiped with winches in the truckchassis. |
