This year the Etra stand was filled again with interesting Mercedes & Titan trucks.

This is a Titan 4160 8x4 with a short wheelbase for the company T.E.P. from Terni.

The truck is equiped with a ZF-WSK 400. A additional cooler for this torque converter has been mounted at the right top of the tower. At the bottom there is the dieseltank and to the left they mounted the oiltank.

The truck had a ballast plate on it’s fifth wheel. At the front it is mounted with 2 twistlocks that connect it to the chassis.

Remarkable is alos the kind of heavy transport coupling that is mounted at the rear of the chassis.

An option that is not so common is this spare wheel holder. It is a turnable pipe-construction with a small hand winch to lower the wheel.

Beside it stood this 6x4 Actros 3348 with Euro 4 engine for the lighter jobs. It is equiped with a Mercedes gearbox and a retarder of Voith.

A 2nd Titan 4160 stood directly behind the other one and is sold to Melca Angelo. Here is is coupled to a 8-axled semi lowloader of Goldhofer that is sold to Corti.

This Titan is equal to the other shown 4160, except for some small details. For example, it doesn’t have mountings for a ballast box and also not the spare wheel option behind the tower.

This 5-axled Goldhofer teletrailer was coupled to a 2-axled Actros tractor.
