The third interesting stand at the Mawev was that of Kuhn Ladetechnik, the Austria dealer for Palfinger.
The heaviest crane was this Palfinger PK150002 on a MAN TGA 35.480 8x4H-6, an 8x2 with a Hydrodrive driven 2nd front axle. The first 2 and the last axle are steered.
The truck is owned by Felbermayr. The crane is a G version that extends 8x, with a 6x extending jib mounted to it. |
This is a Palfinger PK100002 on a Volvo FM of Haider Transporte from Vienna. It is a PK100002F with a PJ170E jib, good for about 32 meters outreach.
Another vehicle of Prangl could be seen at this stand. It is an interesting Volvo FH480 8x4 with a rear mounted Palfinger PK85002.
The crane has been mounted rather far to the rear. This way the flatbed can have a length that is fitting for a container unit.
It is a PK85002F with a PJ170E jib. |
This Volvo was also ordered with the front-extended chassis. This extension is used here to mount a piece of ballast, as can be seen here. This gives more stability when the crane is working to the rear. During road usage, without a load, the truck also gets a better axle load division.
Another rear mounted crane is this PK60002 on a Volvo FM440 8x4 of Mühlgassner from Vienna.
A nice combination for the transport of heavies building materials.
