In the large workshop of Hodel Betriebe stood this Merceedes Actros 3548 8x4 of CreaBeton.

Truck and crane are brandnew, they where only put together for the exhibition. It is the first Effer 850 in 9S version (9x hydraulic). The outreach is 23,1 meter where it can still lift 2 tonnes. The crane is equiped with a heavy winch which can lift loads of up to 8 tonnes.

This truck is not a standard Mercedes version. The base is a 6x4 tractorchassis. It has gotten an extra front axle at Paul Nutzfahrzeuge in Passau (D). This way you get an 8x4 chassis with air suspension at the tandem, planetary rear axles and a short wheelbase that is not standard available in the mercedes programm.

At the other garage there where more crane trucks.

The first one is this interesting Scania R500 in 10x4 version of Hubert Inglin.

This Scania is also equiped with an Effer 850, an 8S with 6S jib.

This crane model offers a good mixture of own weight, lifting capacity and required space. Behind the crane is enough space for a large platform.
