At the stand of Scania stood this impressive Scania P440 in 8x6 layout. Two years ago only the cab was on display, now these truck have entered service.

The cab is completely armoured and also the sleeper section behind it is fully armoured. It offers 2 beds and room for the crew. The tractor has the DC13 engine with 440 hp, connected to an Allison full automatic.

From the rear cab part, the crew can walk over a platform to the tanktrailer.

Outside stood a complete combination of the french army. These vehicles where bought after several armed robberies on fuel transporters in war zones.

This Scania has got single mounted tyres on all axles and is equiped with a tyre pressure system.

On the roof of the 2nd cabin part a remote controlled machine gun is installed for self defence.

The french army name of this combination is Carapace. The trailer from Maisonneuve holds 22.000 liters.
