At the Rheinmetall-MAN stand this MAN TGS 41.480 8x8 was on display.

This one also has a Empl body. Behind the cab stands a Palfinger PK76002-EH in E version. This extends 6x to a length of nearly 16 meters where it will lift 3,7 tons. It doesn't have a jib.

Empl also mounted a front outrigger so that the crane can be used all around. This plate also holds the heavy couplings that the military uses to tow the truck or tie it down with.

The special off-road models of MAN are the HX and SX series. This is an HX, it still has got a lot of parts from the regular MAN series models. It's an HX 40M 4x4 with a flatbed for all kind of jobs. The SX models look nearly the same, but with helical springs and a tougher chassis they are meant for heavy offroad.

Tatra was alos present on this show. For heavy tasks Tatra offers this T815, or with it's full name: T815-790R99 38 300 8x8.1R. It has got a 408 hp Tatra engine that drives all 8 wheels via a central tube chassis. The axle ends are all connected indepently to this tube chassis, like pendular axles, which gives the Tatra very good off-road capabilities. The spring travel of each wheel is rather large, much more then possible with fixed axles.

This trucks also has got a hookloadersystem for the standarized military containers.

They also showed this new 4x4, also called the T815-780R59 19 270 4x4.1R. It is a standard transport truck, but now equiped with a armoured cab in the 3a/3b class (protection level). The design is interesting with the split windscreen.

This one also has got the a basic flatbed, meaning the truck can be used for a lot of taks.
