Effer

Effer showed this nice france Volvo FH16-650 in 8x2 version, it has got an Effer 2055 installed. The shown crane is a 2055 8S, meaning it extends 8x tot 19,4 meters where it can still lift 6,1 tons. At 9,54 meters for example, that value raises to 13,3 tons. To reach further, a 6S jib is installed that gives an outreach of 31,57 meters. Even more outreach is provided with the 2nd jib on this crane, it extend another 3x and reaches 42 meter high with a load of 420 kg. The maximum load for this jib is 1300 kg. The crane is sold to XXLevage in southern France, they also own an Effer 1750. The stability is provided by the regular 4 outriggers and 2 extra legs at the rear.

A bit lighter, but not less interesting is this Volvo FH500 6x2*4 with an Effer 955 crane. The crane has got the so called V-Stab outrigger system, which means that both outriggers extend sideways and to the front, giving a good stability to the front aswell. The crane is an 8S and extend 8x to 20,58 meters with 2,82 tons capacity. With the 6S jib it can reach up to 33,55 meters with 720 kg. The truck has got a very short wheelbase which makes it very manoeuvrable. To get stability to the rear, this truck has got an extra set of extending outriggers in the flatbed. This flatbed is demountable, so that the Volvo can also be used as a tractor with trailer. The empty weight of the truck is 22 tons, which leaves some room to use it with a trailer.

Attached to the hook is the new Effer Icon 215 crane, a newly developed crane and the 1st in the 20 t/m range with a endless slewing system.

A bit cramped in the corner is this Mercedes Antos with an Effer Roof-Crane, a name that is used by belgian dealer Luyckx. It is used for a specific set of cranes that are sold a lot to roofing companies. The crane here is an Effer 525 6S with a 6S jib. The body consists of a flat bed and a large toolbox at the rear, that is easy accesable for the workers.

A whole different new development is this TLF series. The company TLF from Turkey has joined with Effer and this crane is offered specifically for the turkish market. It is assembled by TLF. This Effer 95 TLF 6S reaches up to 18,9 meter far and can lift 3,68 tons there. With the 4S jib a total of 31,7 meters a reached with 790 kg. A nice feature is the cab, alternative is a raised seat. During transport the crane lies over the flatbed, it cannot fold together.

BG-Lift - Brennero Gru

At the stand of BGLift, a brand of Brennero Gru, this Effer crane on a tracked carrier was displayed. It's a somewhat lighter version of the CWE525 that has been build a few times now. This is the CWE465 with an Effer 455 as its base. They mounted the 6S version that extends up to 16,85 meters with 1,91 ton. With the 4S jib it can reach up to 25,87 meters with a load of 580 kg. The jib is the HD version, it can lift a maximum load of 3,62 tons. The own weight of this crane is remarkably low, only 13,4 tons or 14,25 with the jib. It is driven by a 75 hp Hatz engine.

Erkin / Worldpower

At the Erkin stand this new Volvo FM of Jan van Dam was shown, it's an 8x4*4. Mounted on the Volvo is an Erkin ER300000 crane in LK4 version, meaning it extends 4x hydraulically. With those 4 extensions it can reach up to 10,6 meters where it will lift an impressive 21,82 tons. With 1 manual extension the outreach becomes at little more than 12 meters. These high lifting values can be archieved of the rear side of the truck, when the rear outriggers are extended offcourse and the 12 ton ballast in in place. The outriggers only extend once, which give it a very small footprint of only 5,7 meter wide. This is offcourse very helpfull in cramped hallways. At the head of the crane we see a special adapter that lets you lift closer to ceiling. The short boom of the crane can be put down behind the cab, which gives an overall transport height of only 3,5 meters. The own weight of the truck, without any ballast, is just below 32 tons. This gives it enough room to still pull a drawbar trailer in the Netherlands. Without the ballast the lifting values are much lower, but still not bad. At the 10,6 meters it will then lift "only" 4,8 tons. The legal weight of the truck is 36 tons, so it can still carry a part of it's ballast without the need for a trailer, like pictured here on the show. Currently it has got 4,45 tons of ballast installed, and the carrier for the ballast. The ballast can slide about 1 meter to the rear, giving more effect. The rest of the ballast is lying on the chassis behind the cab, aswell as the outrigger plates. The crane was installed by CCH from the Netherlands.

A different construction of Erkin ist this ER115000 PL8, a 110 t/m crane with a 23 meter boom on a tracked carrier. Interesting is the fact that the subframe of the crane can rotate on top of the tracked carrier. The crane is equiped with 7 tons of ballast. It belongs to the danish Erkin importer Skaks.
