In the harbor of Venlo (NL) I saw this Liebherr LTM 1300 of Haegens crane rental from Elsendorp.

This LTM 1300 has a 12x8 undercarriage (12x6 is also possible). The axles 1, 3, 5 and 6 are driven. The axles 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 are steerable. Total transportlength is 19 meters, transportweight is 72 ton.

The cab of the uppercarriage is placed in the rear position during street transport. The guying system can stay on the crane during transport.

Also needed for this job was this LTM 1200/1. This crane was built up the next day.

The LTM 1300 was built up the same evening. The next day it should lift a large barrel together with the LTM 1200.

The ballast truck is put beside the 1300 so that it can mount it’s own ballast.

The base plate is the first part that is lifted of the trailer and being put at the front of the undercarriage.

After that came the normal ballast plates and the pick-up unit. They left the crane like this. I couldn’t photograph the lift itself.
