Beside the freeway near Luik (B) I saw this Liebherr LR 1400/2 of Sarens.

The crane was equiped with 12 blocks of ballast that weigh 10 ton each, that makes 120 tons. The base plate weighs another 15 ton. At the undercarriage there are also 2 x 8 ton mounted, at the front and at the rear.

The crane was equiped with the superlift installation, but there was no superliftballast there.

Here it was standing with a bit more than 50 meters of boom. It was used for work on the construction of a new bridge for the freeway.
